Taizoji |
This temple had been established on 1452, and principal
sculpture is Dainichi Nyorai. Shinto priest Fujinami
of Ise Shinto Shrine had been expelled to Sado Island for
political crime on 1654, and he had been in this temple
for 18 years. Many items such as tableware or picture that
he left are in this temple, especially, black horse picture
was described for asking permission. With the favor, then
he was allowed to back to capital city on 1672.

Black horse picture
Dedicator is Shinto priest Fujinami, they said, the horse
sometimes had gone out from the picture and behaved very
violently, then Fujinami described to add mouth rope
on the picture. After that, this rumor had been disappeared
in naturally. |

Batou
Kannon |
About 1 meter high rock resembles horse head, but it is
sacred stone that Kannon dwells, so called, Batou Kannon
it’s literally means horse head Kannon. It used to be principle
in the shrine until Koubou Daishi became the principle.
This Koubou Daishi wearing clerical robe is like nun. In
addition, Enma Daiou (the judge of hell), and 10-kings
are enshrined in the shrine |

Inuki
Kannon |
This large stone Sho-Kannon (alias
name is Inuki Kannon) was carved with by Gyoki Bosatsu
almost 1300 years ago, this Kannon sometimes sweated in
the case that misfortune had happened, or informed the
villager by brightening sacred light on the treetop of
the big tree. It is said that eye disease would become
well if the people wash the eyes by the spring water in
front of the shrine. Many of the tourists including outland
or foreigner are visiting to worship this large stone Kannon. |
